That's it. I've had it.

Usually when someone from the administration does or says something so incredibly stupid and offensive, I try to respond on my blog with wit, insight, humor, sarcasm, and intellect. Thanks to Donald Rumsfeld, I'm through with that.

From the AP:

Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld said Tuesday the world faces ``a new type of fascism'' and likened critics of the Bush administration's war strategy to those who tried to appease the Nazis in the 1930s.

In unusually explicit terms, Rumsfeld portrayed the administration's critics as suffering from ``moral or intellectual confusion'' about what threatens the nation's security.

And here is my response Donald:

Fuck you.

Fuck you, fuck the horse you rode in on, fuck your whole philosophy of playing on people's fear. And most of all, fuck you for comparing me to a group of people responsible for 12 million systematic deaths, along with millions of other military deaths.

I hope there is a hell, because it is my strong believe you will end up there someday. My only regret is that I won't be there with you to watch you suffer. But don't worry- you and Adolf will have plenty of time together to discuss your comparrisons.

Let's try addressing his points. Which of these are wrong:

We find ourselves in a strange time:

-When a database search of America's leading newspapers turns up 10 times as many mentions of one of the soldiers at Abu Ghraib who were punished for misconduct, than mentions of Sergeant First Class Paul Ray Smith, the first recipient of the Medal of Honor in the Global War on Terror;

-When a senior editor at Newsweek disparagingly refers to the brave volunteers in our Armed Forces as a "mercenary army";

-When the former head of CNN accuses the American military of deliberately targeting journalists and the former CNN Baghdad bureau chief admits he concealed reports of Saddam Hussein's crimes when he was in power so CNN could stay in Iraq[*]; and

-It is a time when Amnesty International disgracefully refers to the military facility at Guantanamo Bay, which holds terrorists who have vowed to kill Americans and which is arguably the best run and most scrutinized detention facility in the history of warfare, as "the gulag of our times."

Those who know the truth need to speak out against these kinds of myths, and distortions being told about our troops and about our country.

The struggle we are in is too important--the consequences too severe--to have the luxury of returning to the old mentality of "Blame America First.

I'm dissapointed in you, CT.

1) Rumsfeld was not attacking the press. Nice try, trying to change the point. Attack the press all you want, blame the press all you want. Rumsfeld was attacking an entire group of people opposed to the war, of which I am one.

2) Will you not concede that comparing those who speak out against a particular policy, which they view as destructive and unproductive, is not remotely comparable to those who allowed the Nazis to rise to power? Isn't that a bit extreme? Comparing Americans, exercising a Constitutional right, to a group of people that were complacent to let a regime in their own country take over without a fight? In Nazi Germany, the enemy came from within. That is hardly the case here.

Unless Rumsfeld is comparing those opposed to the war to the Nazis themselves, and not just those complacent to let them take over...

My post was a direct quote from his speech...so I didn't change the topic.

Have you read the entire speech or are you just reacting to the blurbs quoted by the MSM?

The appeasers of WWII he is referring to are people like Neville Chamberlin, not Germans.

CT, when you say "MSM," are you referring to the world-wide Jewish conspiarcy to control the news?

Because you know that's not true, right (at least, not anymore...)

No...MSM to me means...the big three networks and the big daily newspapers.
