From the Pittsburgh Post Gazette:
In several interviews as (Se. Santorum) toured Southwestern Pennsylvania, the Republican accused Democrats of politicizing the war issue, and sending messages that, he said, encouraged perceptions by the nation's enemies that the United States lacks resolve.
Oh really?
From AP News:
"In the middle of a war on terror, we need to remain focused on furthering Republican ideas more than ever before," former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani said in a letter that asked for donations to the Republican National Committee.
Glass houses, Rick. Glass houses.

Ever notice that it's always furthering "Republican" ideas and never furthering "American" ideas?
If it were Democrats always saying stuff like that, the GOP would constantly ride them about it.
Simple explanation...Dems have no original ideas ;)
Once upon a time, Republicans pretended that everything they did was synonymous with America. They dropped that facade quite a while back, because they didn't need it anymore.
I wouldn't the say the Democrats don't have ideas so much as they aren't driven by the same Type-A lockstep ideological certitude that drives GOP public relations.
It was just a joke Ian hence the blinky eye thingy.
Southpaw...I just posted a follow up to your guest post from some friends of mine.
