From CNN:

Asked by CNBC host Donny Deutsch what the U.S. looks like in her dreams, Coulter said it would look like the Republican National Convention in 2004

"People were happy,” she said, according to a transcript provided to CNN by CNBC. “They're Christian. They're tolerant. They defend America." (Video: Watch Coulter's comments on CNBC)

When Deutsch responded, "It would be better if we were all Christian?" Coulter said "Yeah."

Deutsch, himself Jewish, continued to press Coulter on her remarks, asking, "We should just throw Judaism away and we should all be Christians then?"

"Yeah," Coulter responded, adding "Well, it's a lot easier. It's kind of a fast track."

"You can't possibly believe that," Deutsch responded. “You can’t possibly. You’re too educated.”

"Do you know what Christianity is?" Coulter replied. "See, we believe your religion, but you have to obey. We have the fast track program."

Later in the interview Deutsch asked Coulter if she doesn't want any Jews in the world, Coulter responded, "No, we think — we just want Jews to be perfected, as they say."

"Wow, you didn't really say that, did you," Deutsch said.

Why even bother quoting the stupid things she says? It's easier than shooting fish in a barrel. Let her slide into irrelevance, where she belongs.

More to the point, let her render herself into irrelevance. It's the judo school of politics - you let your opponents do your work for you.

9 times out of 10, if you give your opponents enough rope, they'll either trip over it or hang themselves or both.

If what you say is true, I'll buy her a hemp factory!

While I don't understand why she said it the way she did, her basic point is accurate. All Christians want all Jews, and every one else for that matter, to become Christians. So yes we want a world with no Jews, if that means they all became Christians. It is not in any way hating Jews to say that as this whole attack on Coulter has tried to do. If I believe that if you don't accept Christ before you die then you will spend eternity in hell then wanting you to become a Christian is the exact opposite of hating you.

CT-

be careful of such absolute comments. You say that All Christians want all Jews, and every one else for that matter, to become Christians.

Well, my in-laws are christian, and they don't want me to beocme one.

My wife is christian and she does not want me to become one.

One of my best friends is christian and she does not want me to become one.

So much for your "all" and "all" theory.

Well then I have to wonder about their belief in the Bible and their beliefs in salvation b/c the Bible teaches that unless you accept Christ as Savior then you don't enter Heaven. So if you are a Christian and that is what you truly believe then if you don't want someone to become a Christian means you don't want them to go to Heaven which means you don't care that they go to Hell.

So either your inlaws, wife, and best friend don't fully believe that non-Christians will go to Hell or they are not telling you the truth and secretly pray that you become one but don't want to offend you.

So the question you should ask them is what happens to someone who dies without accepting Christ. If they say anything but spend eternity in Hell then they are reading a different Bible than Christians I know and are more universalist.

So I still stand by my statement b/c for me not to would mean i don't care if you go to Hell. I don't want you to go to Hell so if none other count me as one Christian you know that prays one day you accept Christ and become a Christian.

thank you for your concern.

You see, southpaw, Christians like Coulter and cajun see your inlaws as something other than Christians, which allows them to make absolutist statements. That's what religious fundamentalism is all about, yo.

I, for one, also pray that you finally repent for the Yankees.

Seamus...I made no judgement on his inlaws as I don't know them. I just asked what are their beliefs on death apart from accepting Christ. If they believe that one can still go to Heaven without accepting Christ, then it isn't me who is saying they aren't Christians, it is the Bible. If that is fundamentalist, then I'm guilty. Just be glad my fundamentalist beliefs lead me to pray for those who don't believe as opposed to the fundamentalists I'm assuming you are trying to compare me to who kill those who don't believe.
